Services Outpatient Services Outpatient Therapy (OPT) at Touchstone provides counseling services that focus on the needs of children ages 7-18+ and their families. OPT services utilize a strengths-based, trauma-informed, family systems approach to help build strong and healthy relationships. Treatment services focus on building rapport through shared understanding, identifying strengths and capacities, utilizing psychoeducation to help promote regulation and stabilization within the environment and implementing evidence-based treatment modalities. Those modalities may include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Sand Tray Therapy. The program aims to support healthy relationships and improve communication to enhance functional outcomes in living environments, relationships, school, work, and community. Whatever It Takes Whatever It Takes (WIT) is a Meet Me Where I Am” direct service program that provides intensive in-home and community-based support to high-need children and families who are struggling with emotional and behavioral issues that are causing significant distress. WIT is a guardian-driven program that assists in keeping children in their natural environment by reducing/preventing OOH (Out-of-home) placements, creating independence and stability in the home while finding Natural Supports to replace formal services. WIT utilizes a Positive Behavior Support Approach that incorporates the family culture, ABA principles, and assessments to identify skill deficits and underlying needs of the child and family that will help children and families develop communication, problem-solving, and coping skills to promote more sustainable outcomes. Respite The Respite Program is a facility-based program that provides a needed break for caregivers. Respite team members are CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certified, trained in crisis prevention/interventions, and receive ongoing training in Positive Behavioral Support. The Respite team works with the Child and Family Team (CFT) to understand the individual needs of each child. During respite, the children participate in group games/activities, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and occasional group outings that focus on learning skills that help improve the quality of social interactions between caregivers, other adults, and peers. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided. Psychiatric Specialty Services Touchstone employs Board Certified Psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and medical providers who can provide psychiatric evaluations and medication monitoring. Prevention Touchstone Health Services was awarded a five-year, 1.5 million dollar s grant from the Office of Population Affairs, Department of Human and Health Services to provide comprehensive, multi-faceted teen pregnancy prevention programs in seventeen zip codes across Avondale, Tolleson, Goodyear, Litchfield Park and parts of Glendale, Buckeye, and Phoenix. The grant looks to advance equity in adolescent health through the replication of evidence-based programs (EBPs) and services. Touchstone looks to service over 22,000 youth, over 7,900 adults (parents/caregivers) with EBPs, and over 3,100 community members with trainings . Health Promotion The Health Promotion Department offers evidence-based programs provided to enrolled youth to help them be proactive in preventing a host of concerns and educating and empowering youth and their families. Intensive Outpatient Substance use Group The Intensive Outpatient Substance Use ( IOPSU ) Group focuses on adolescent health as it pertains to substance use, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques along with DBT skills to elicit change. Teens are invited to evaluate their lives, consider changes they wish to make, and subsequently work towards implementation and maintenance of desired changes. In essence, the IOPSU program supports teens in taking power over their own lives. Intensive Outpatient Program Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a highly structured therapeutic treatment program designed to help children and adolescents who struggle with emotional and behavioral management in developing social, communication, and coping skills that will help them improve their functioning at home, school, and in the community. School Based Services Touchstone’s School Based Services (SBS) program provides comprehensive behavioral health services for youth and supports their families by partnering with the school district. The idea is to address behavioral and mental health concerns while bringing the family and the school together to support the youth. SBS provides services to youth in our partner schools on campus, in home, and through virtual telehealth platforms as needed and appropriate . Infant & Early Childhood Services Care Coordination Program Description: Care Coordinators are responsible for evaluating the needs of members and families collaboratively through the protracted assessment process. This includes: Autism Center of Excellence Since its inception in 2017, Touchstone’s Center of Excellence has been dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with or at risk of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities and their families. Our commitment is demonstrated through the provision of evidence-based services, education of families, collaboration with service providers, community education on ASD and related topics, and collaborating with community partners to ensure the best behavioral and physical healthcare for our Members . Touchstone’s Center of Excellence utilizes a whole-person approach to promote independence for our Members and their families. Services provided inside the Center of Excellence are family-focused and grounded in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Families are connected to community-based resources including organizations that offer free parent education, advocacy and support groups, and socialization opportunities for parents and children throughout their treatment.
